Why I give to IVCF Philippines - Dan Malabonga

Why do I give to IVCF-Philippines? Let me recount the reasons, using the acronym “IVCF”:

dan

I - Indebtedness: Out of a sense of gratitude or “utang na loob” for how the Lord used IVCF to preach the Gospel to me in my late high school years (through Inter-School Christian Fellowship or “ISCF”), and to build me up in the faith during my college years (through State Varsity Christian Fellowship or “SVCF”).

V - Value: Out of recognition of the infinite value of what IVCF offers to students through faith and by God’s grace – personal salvation, discipleship, fellowship and witness.

C - Care: Out of concern for, and in partnership with, IVCF officers and staff workers who are sacrificially serving the Lord in student ministry.

F - Fruit: Out of a desire for fruit that is pleasing to the Lord, i.e., saved and discipled students, and treasure in heaven – eternal returns on investment that no moths, thieves or stock market/economic crashes can diminish or take away.

Hello po kuya! Thanks for sharing this. I know what you mean by indebtedness. I, too, came to know Jesus as my Savior through ISCF and learned what it means to call Him Lord through SVCF. God bless!
