a.) Please tell us where you are now in terms of your family and career.

I am Jasiel MusniStewart, the daughter of Louie & Cita Musni. I have two sisters, Jacrise MusniLagud and Janelle Musni. My husband, David and I have been married for three years and we have a one-month old son named Nolan. We live in a needy neighborhood in Toronto as part of MoveIn (movein.to), which is a movement of regular Christians moving in among the unreached, urban poor in cities globally – while making reproducing disciples. I work on staff with MoveIn as Regional Representative for Mississauga and the Philippines. I also do some graphic design for the ministry. David works parttime for MoveIn as head of the Visuals Department (film & photography) and owns and operates his own media company, David Stewart Media (davidstewartmedia.com). If you'd like to learn more about the ministry and receive our updates, feel free to email us at davidandjasiel@gmail.com.

b.) What is your favorite part of or favorite memory(ies) of attending Balikatan conferences?

The last Balikatan I attended was about 15 years ago and I fondly remember singing in the Kabalikat Sa Ontario (KSO) youth choir. It was a wonderful time meeting other IVCF youth, worshiping God through songs, sharing songs with our parents and other delegates, and just having fun!

c.) How has attending Balikatan conferences, and Junior Balikatan in particular, helped you in your spiritual walk (or Christian life)?

Balikatan was a part of my journey to living a life in missions as I saw the fruit of IVCF's campus ministry in the attendees of the conference. God has used this time to show me the impact of reaching students, as my parents came to know him at Far Eastern University in Manila through IVCF Philippines’ staff workers. Though it has been a long time since I've been to a Balikatan conference, this picture of God at work in campuses in the Philippines and around the world had stayed and will stay with me.
