Alumni Ministry (AIM) in Action

Balikatan is profoundly humbled and honored to highlight our ALUMNI-IN-MINISTRY (AIM) for our March Newsletter! These men and women have committed to serving God full time in His Kingdom Building, having been transformed by the radical, redeeming encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, and having been influenced and spiritually nurtured by Intervarsity Christian Fellowship Philippines (IVCFP) in discipleship and leadership training. Our AIM contributors this March are ministering in Canada and the Philippines. We celebrate their dedication to the Lord Himself and His work worldwide.

The newsletter will end with a climactic exhortation for the Holy Week. May we never take for granted the magnitude and depth of Christ's love and sacrifice for us, giving us the opportunity to True and Everlasting Life when not one of us deserve it.

Some Biblical and Theological Perspectives on Global Migration and Diasporas

by Pastor Jojo Remigio

I have ministered to people in diaspora for the last 22 years in Asia-Pacific, Middle East and North America. The experience has left me with profound realization that the divinely orchestrated movement of people across geographies over time continues to figure prominently in the global proclamation and propagation of the Gospel.

Bagong Salta*
By Dorothy “Dada” Altea

To be honest, I never chose nursing as my profession. I took up nursing in obedience to my parents, who wanted me to work abroad to help my family financially. Eventually, I learned to love my profession, because caring for the sick gave me an opportunity to share God’s love with others...
